“Color and rhythm have always been my language — painting lets me turn everyday energy into something joyful and lasting on canvas.”

Ken Law was born in HongKong, surrounded by a rich cultural atmosphere. From an early age he was obsessed with drawing and painting, spending much of his school life sketching, experimenting with colour and joining local art events. During his student years he frequently took part in county and city-level art exchanges and competitions, receiving multiple awards that encouraged him to keep going.

Over the following decades, Ken developed into a full-time painter with a strong personal voice and has been recognised many times for his work. He signed as a contract painter with a Hong Kong oil painting export company, an experience that exposed his paintings to international markets and trained him to work with both discipline and consistency.

Today he works and focuses on original oil paintings. His work is characterised by bright, uplifting colour, a strong sense of rhythm and inventive compositions. Rather than aiming for quiet, neutral canvases, he enjoys bringing movement, structure and a touch of surprise into each piece, creating artworks that can instantly change the mood of a room.

His paintings are designed to feel contemporary and optimistic — statement pieces that can anchor modern interiors while still remaining approachable and easy to live with.

He is best known for:

  • Colour-forward contemporary oil paintings with a bright, joyful mood
  • Rhythmic brushwork and dynamic compositions that add energy to modern rooms
  • Fresh, inventive layouts that balance clear structure with spontaneity
  • Bold centerpiece works for living rooms, dining areas, studios and creative workspaces
